> ampliación CCQRO Santander

Banco Santander, in need of expanding its capacity in Querétaro, decided to construct a new building next to the Contact Center (CCQRO), located within a 16-hectare complex by the Mexico-San Luis Potosí highway. This location allows for the use of part of the 1,940 parking spaces and other shared facilities, such as a dining room, grocery store, medical care center, and maintenance area.

The selected site is behind the Contact Center, facilitating its connection to the existing facilities. The design of the new building, in collaboration with Estudio Lamela, follows a functional and orderly approach, with a robust and economical orthogonal base, and an iconic elevated structure. The ground floor combines plazas and zigzag corridors to prevent direct airflow and provide sun protection, creating a rich and sheltered environment.

The new building consists of three blocks surrounding an irregular plaza, accessible by foot from the corridor next to the CCQRO dining area. A bridge connects this corridor with the plaza and parking area. The plaza, designed with vegetation and water features, helps maintain a pleasant temperature, benefiting the adjacent offices. Three light and transparent cores handle communication and evacuation, complemented by elevators for disabled access and maintenance.

The offices are oriented in all four directions to maximize the use of the façade, with meeting areas, bathrooms, and common spaces located in the center. Meeting rooms can be subdivided based on requirements. Directors' and deputy directors' offices are placed near the best views, while operational spaces are distributed in a continuous layout.

The project minimizes direct solar exposure and is designed to accommodate future expansion, allowing for an additional 2,000 users. The building’s structure is compatible with modular furniture, ensuring both functionality and efficiency in the use of space.
