The project, developed in collaboration with Estudio Lamela, responds to the client’s need to renew the traditional concept of a bank branch, moving away from the institutional image projected until now and orienting it toward a younger audience—one that can identify with a more dynamic, innovative, modern, and relaxed proposal.
To achieve this, the bank’s operational and administrative areas were minimized, allocating most of the space to the user, both inside and outside the branch.
An exterior space was incorporated to house the ATM and a waiting area, while the interior was designed to create an optimal environment with waiting zones, a service bar with high stools, and monitors displaying videos and bank information.
Lighting was resolved through recessed spotlights in a smooth ceiling, providing uniformity and visual clarity.
Regarding materials, glass, aluminum, and wood with plastic laminates in the bank’s institutional colors were used.
The overall image of the branch is expressed through a three-dimensional composition of planes in white, gray, and red, reinforcing the corporate identity.
This design proposal is intended to be replicated in various universities across Mexico, bringing the bank closer to a young audience within academic environments.
